Care Instructions
Care Instructions
This product is carbon steel and is prone to rusting. It is recommended to oil or wax regularly and keep dry to prevent rust. I use wicked wax on my personal kitchen knives and highly recommend it. You can add a tin of it to your order here. Hand wash only, DO NOT wash in dishwasher. DO NOT use scotch-bright, scrub daddy, or any other abrasive sponges when washing as these will damage the surface finish. Carbon steel knives will patina depending on the care and food they come in contact with. That's the joy of owning a carbon steel kitchen knife, use it and let that beautiful patina develop! A knife is designed to cut soft material only and may become damaged if used for something other such as prying (not even avocado pits), cutting bone, etc.
