The Northerner is a collaborative design between myself and Levi Herrick of Northern Knifeworks, blending craftsmanship and utility in a modern take on the classic drop point blade. Magnacut is stainless steel, regular sharpening is recommended when needed. Do not leave in constant contact with moisture or water. A knife is designed to cut soft material and may become damaged if used for something other such as prying, batoning, etc.
Cruwear is a very durable steel but it is technically not a stainless steel. Some care should be taken to keep dry and clean to prevent potential corrosion. Cruwear can develop a patina overtime but this is normal and won't affect performance. Though designed to be extremely tough and reliable, at the end of the day a knife is designed to cut materials such as wood, rope, food, etc. Your knife may become damaged if used for something other such as prying, extreme batoning, cutting materials like metal, etc. If you damage it let us know, we'll see what we can do to fix it. Knowing how something was damaged helps us better our products for the future.
